Breaking News: 21 State & UT Legislatures Now Operating Digitally On NeVA Platform: MoS Meghwal New Delhi, Mar 11 (KNN) Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal replying to a question in Lok Sabha on Wednesday said that the Central government has signed Tripartite Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with 28 State and Union Territory (UT) legislatures for the implementation of the National e‐Vidhan Application (NeVA). According to the minister, 21 State and UT legislatures are currently conducting their legislative business in digital mode through the NeVA platform, while the remaining seven are at various stages of implementation. The MoUs involve the Central government, the concerned State government and the respective legislature to facilitate the transition to paperless and digital legislative functioning. The platform enables digital management and access to legislative business such as the List of Business, questions and replies, notices, bills, debates and proceedings. Platform Features NeVA is a unified digital initiative developed as a generic software platform designed to meet the diverse needs of state and UT legislatures and transform them into digital houses. The software suite includes mobile and web applications, a public portal and e-book modules, enabling electronic submission of questions and notices, digital processing of legislative business and online access to legislative documents.
